Niamh O’Brien Bromley
I aim to offer a safe, welcoming space where you can bring your whole self — a space where, together, we can explore the reasons that have brought you to therapy. Within this compassionate and supportive environment, you will have the opportunity to reflect, gain clarity, and move toward meaningful change. I believe deeply in the healing power of being heard and witnessed; when we are truly seen, we can open to parts of ourselves that we may have long avoided, yet which hold the keys to personal growth and transformation.
I approach therapy with the understanding that each person is unique, and so too is the therapeutic process. Our work together will be shaped by your individual goals, needs, and desires. My role is to collaborate with you — to support, guide, and at times gently challenge you — as you navigate difficulties and open to your full potential.
My professional background is rooted in the voluntary and community sector, where I have supported young people and their families through a range of challenges. In roles such as intensive support worker, team leader, and group facilitator, I have seen first-hand the profound impact that can arise when people are met with empathy and respect — when they are truly heard and valued, they often come to a deeper understanding of themselves and begin to move beyond their perceived limitations.
My interest in therapeutic work began early in life. As a teenager, I trained in various energy work modalities, experiencing and witnessing the transformative power of presence. This early passion led me to a lifelong curiosity about the human condition, ultimately guiding my academic studies in psychology and my earlier work as a journalist.
Alongside a Higher Diploma in Biodynamic Massage and Integrative Psychotherapy, I hold a BSc (Hons) in Psychology, a Higher Diploma in Psychological Research Methodology, and a Postgraduate Diploma in Journalism. I have also maintained a personal practice in meditation and energetic disciplines for over 20 years and am a qualified Qigong Teacher (Basic Grade).
I am an Accredited Member of IAHIP, and I fully adhere to the ethical codes of practice of both organisations.

While my formal training in Integrative Biodynamic Psychotherapy began in 2019, my journey towards becoming a psychotherapist began much earlier. I trained to be a social worker in my early 20s and I have enjoyed a rich and varied career working with parents and
children at really difficult times in their lives. In the context of this work, my understanding of the impact of childhood trauma and early relationship patterns began, and how this in turn influences us as we navigate adulthood. I have had the pleasure of witnessing families
rebuild their lives under the most extreme circumstances and I’ve learnt that each of us have our own personal history, our own values and ways of looking at the world. Our problems are unique to us and only we can create the solution that will work for us as individuals.
Throughout my career I have learned the value of slowly building trusting relationships in the therapeutic context and I bring this to my work as a psychotherapist also.
My professional qualifications include Higher Diploma in Integrative and Biodynamic Psychotherapy and Diploma in Biodynamic Massage, Trácht Foundation. I am an Accredited Member of IAHIP and I am committed to upholding their professional standards.
My other qualifications include a B. Soc Sc (UCD) and M.Sc. in Social Work (TCD).
