Niamh O'Brien Bromley, integrative and biodynamic psychotherapists galway

Niamh O’Brien Bromley

Integrative and biodynamic psychotherapist with a background in psychology, community support and trauma-informed practice.

I aim to offer a safe, welcoming space where you can bring your whole self, a space where, together, we can explore the reasons that have brought you to therapy. Within this compassionate and supportive environment, you’ll have the opportunity to reflect, gain clarity, and move toward meaningful change. I believe deeply in the healing power of being heard and witnessed; when we are truly seen, we can open to parts of ourselves we may have long avoided, yet which hold the keys to personal growth and transformation.

I approach therapy with the understanding that each person, and each therapeutic process, is unique. Our work together will be shaped by your individual goals, needs, and desires. My role is to collaborate with you: to support, guide, and at times gently challenge you as you navigate difficulties and open to your full potential.

My professional background is rooted in the voluntary and community sector, supporting young people and their families through a range of challenges as an intensive support worker, team leader, and group facilitator. I’ve seen first-hand the profound impact of being met with empathy and respect, and how it helps people move beyond their perceived limitations.

My interest in therapeutic work began in my teens, training in various energy work modalities and witnessing the transformative power of presence. That early passion led to a lifelong curiosity about the human condition, shaping my academic studies in psychology and my earlier work as a journalist. I’ve also maintained a personal meditation and energetic practice for over 20 years, and I’m a qualified Qigong Teacher (Basic Grade).

Berry Guthrie, integrative and biodynamic psychotherapists galway

Berry Guthrie

Integrative and biodynamic psychotherapist and qualified social worker with extensive experience supporting children, families and adults through life’s challenges.

While my formal training in Integrative Biodynamic Psychotherapy began in 2019, my journey toward becoming a psychotherapist started much earlier. I trained as a social worker in my early twenties and have enjoyed a rich, varied career working with parents and children through some of the most difficult times in their lives. It was through this work that my understanding of childhood trauma and early relationship patterns began, and how these shape us as we navigate adulthood.

I’ve had the privilege of witnessing families rebuild their lives under the most extreme circumstances. What I’ve learned is this: each of us carries our own history, our own values, and our own way of seeing the world, our problems are unique to us, and only we can create the solutions that work for us as individuals.

Throughout my career, I’ve learned the value of slowly building trusting relationships in the therapeutic context, and I bring this same care to my work as a psychotherapist.
